Comerica Scholars Transition Seminar
Success 101

Every student can learn in my classroom. Through cooperative exercises like the jigsaw classroom, we can bridge the many differences which can reduce communication and collaboration in a standard classroom format. Instead, I encourage discussion, cooperation and sharing. This allows everyone to serve as both an expert and a learner. I do that through cooperative exercises which allow us to cover content deeply and through applications to real world problems.

My course, the Comerica Scholars Transition Seminar, was recognized for most closely meeting the goals for first year experience courses at the university.
